NY Times Lens Blog Writes About Computational Photography: Lensless Cameras and a Future in Data

Lens, the photojournalism blog of The New York Times, has a nice write-up about computational photography. Several techniques in development are mentioned, including camera sensors that powers themselves and a small gigapixel camera. A lot of the technology in the article is under development at the Columbia Vision Laboratory (CAVE) at Columbia University, home of the educational Bigshot camera.
